Throughout the year we host many Public Speaking Competitions for students in Years 8 through to 11. Two students from each school may compete in each event.

 

While students in the Years 9, 10, and 11 Public Speaking Competitions give both prepared and impromptu speeches, the Year 8 Competition only requires one prepared speech.

 

A panel of adjudicators evaluates the students' speeches, and trophies are given for first, second, and third place overall. Additionally, we award Highly Commended medals for Years 9–11 in both the prepared and impromptu speaking categories.
